Poem: Our Land

By Meryl Webster

I wept for you, America,
I wiped away a tear
I captioned you, I cradled you
I fought back inner fear.

I can't begin to comprehend
all that this truly means
Like all your sons and daughters here,
on you, our courage leans.

Unspeakable our horror as,
from bended knees, we stand,
To reclaim hope, to regain strength
to flourish in Our Land!

For what "they've" tried to take away
will be forever near
A gift we will not ever lose,
a Liberty, too dear.

We're strong for you, America
as all of us unite
We Love You and we're here for you
through each step of this plight.

Unwavering devotion as,
from bended knees, we stand
To reclaim hope, to regain strength,
to flourish in Our Land!!
